Pat Summit, the winningest basketball coach in NCAA history, at last night’s ass-whumpin’ of the defending national champions Gators of Florida:
Also see: Phil Fulmer sitting there like a wet, retarded sack of potatoes.

Justin Timberlake on 14th Street

On our way back from Starbucks on 14th Street, we walked by Justin Timberlake. I stopped to take his photo and she asked “who the fuck is that?”
Our friend Jmac has posted a pair of in-depth interviews with Athens-Clarke County Commission candidates to the Georgia Podcast Network:

…features an excerpt from a column written by former state Senate candidate Todd Tibbets, published in the Gwinnett Daily Post.
The sales tax is by far more impartial and less regressive than the income tax because sales taxes are based on consumption.
Emphasis mine. If you Boortz-felating types are going to try to sell me a sales tax, at least don’t say it’s the exact fucking opposite of what it is in your marketing pitch. Does the Daily Post even proofread the bullshit they print?
(grammar police note: sorry for all the split infinitives today)
Contrary to what would seem intuitive, they are not a cure for the common cold, or whatever I had this past weekend.
This is a podcast of my Georgia Political and Policy Digest column from late last week:
Length: 3:48 minutes
I’ve got nothing of my own to contribute today, so I’ll just point you to two things that caught my attention.
GA Dem’s are HUGE pussies. You expect LEADERSHIP from these effete clowns? Calvin Smyre? Longtime ineffective pussy, who struck out in DC for PeachCare. DuBose Poter? Ineffective pussy with a old school drawl who really has never accomplished anything of note. David Adelman? Smart & likeable pussy. Mark Taylor? Campaign was only on dissing Sonny Do and not bring any original idea of note while on his daddy’s payroll for eyars and is the poster child on why grown men need to exercise and eat salads pussy. Terry Coleman? Thanks god you’re no longer in office pussy. Roy Barnes? Gave up running for office again like a f-ing coawrd because he screwed up supporting the Northern Arc pussy? Bobby Kahn? Loser pussy who enabled Queen of Cluless Denise Majette to actually believe she should run for any office. Thurbert Baker? A pussy with alien hair. Michael Thurmond? Too coward to run for US Senate and would rather be wasting time as No. 2 with the DPG pussy. What’s the one thing GA Dem’s have been able to do best? Allow rural GA Dem’s from blocking common sense stuff in metro Atlanta, like stationing state troopers on the busiest highways and not in the middle of nowhere, rail and state dough for MARTA, no seatbelts for pickup trucks, etc. Hmmm…as Macon and Savannah grow, more troopers there would be smart, rail would be a godsend for Macon & Savannah and a better MARTA would bring in more sales tax $ from tourists, seatbelts as law for pickups would save lives all over the state, etc. GA Dems: Pussies R Us!
Oh, and tomorrow you’ll get to hear my impression of Steve Davis in a podcast of my most recent Georgia Political and Policy Digest column.
Check out this post by Amy Morton. Apparently, it doesn’t matter to state Sen. Eric Johnson that a jury found Genarlow Wilson not guilty of rape because “it was rape in his mind.” I guess if I call him a goat fucker it’s okay because “he’s a goat fucker in my mind,” even though he hasn’t been convicted of goat fucking. In all seriousness though, he’s real close to slander. In my mind.
UPDATE: Watch CNN pick Eric Johnson’s ridiculous “argument” apart piece-by-piece.
My Georgia Political and Policy Digest column went up a little late today due to an email issue. Without further ado, Reps. Davis and Bridges: please save some crazy for the rest of us.
There’s an idea for a group project web site in there that I’d love to get y’all’s help on. I’ll repost the details here at a later date.
As has been widely reported elsewhere, the AJC is undergoing a massive restructuring. Here’s a collection:
This is a watershed event for metro Atlanta media coverage, and I have no fuckin’ clue how it will play out. Sorry for the lack of insight. I bet you’re wondering why you’re paying me right now.
