Thanks to yelladog and eponymous for taking us shooting yesterday. The assault rifle I’m holding in the photo made the coolest picture, but I was actually partial to the 12 gauge. Amber is seen there with a .44 caliber pistol, which was used in Operation Format C, where an old hard drive was demolished with a couple of rounds.

And this is why we’ll never be able to outlaw guns in this country…at the end of the day its pretty fun to go out and put holes in things.
I don’t want to outlaw guns. I just don’t want idiots to have them.
Excellent. There’s nothing like a sunday spent with light weapondry to sooth the soul.
I used outlaw too loosely there…I meant more along the lines of effective gun control. I like Rusty thoughts there though…maybe instead of a waiting period there should be like an IQ test or something.
It’s not so much intelligence as a basic respect for gun safety. Sometimes that’s related to intelligence, but not always.
As in, if you don’t have the common sense not to point the gun at people, then you don’t need to have one.

FYI if you have more hardware to dispose of, March 25 is Decatur’s Spring Electronics Recycling Day. You can drop off stuff in the Decatur High parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hah. That same day, my dad gave me a laser sight for my pistol for my birthday.
I love that you guys brought back the nerd factor by shooting a hard drive. And no, I don’t say nerd like it’s a bad thing… after all, that would be hypocritical of me.
Is that the outdoor range outside of Charlston?
I learned to shoot on that same range if it is.
Nope, it’s near Athens; somewhere called Bishop, to be exact. The country!
Farmington, actually. It’s a public range and open to all.
Kill ‘em all. Let God sort them out.
